Good script....

This was quite an interseting movie where the director has inspired the audience to apply their own imagination. Now, what I think is, if Rimli went missing, and Ankur identifies the corpse not to be of Rimli in the police station, and he hired Proshant Narayanan, who is just a regional contract killer of that locality, to kill Rimli, then it is not possible that later Proshant and Rimli are happily married, as shown at the end of the film. So, it was Ankur who did not go missing, but left Rimli, as she had an affair with Proshant. So, Ankur left the hotel room on the last day of their honeymoon trip. Rimli called the police as she waited in the hotel and thought he would come back, but he does not return. And the police couldn't trace him. Ankur starts a new life, gets married with Sandhya Mridul. Rimli gets back to Proshant. Well this might be a plausible solution to the story. Even the story narrated by Rajat Kapoor cannot be contradicted. If K. K. Menon somehow manages to flee from the criminals, he always has the posibility to start a new life.

Eureka !!!!! I have found the end
by Hasan Mahfooz on Aug 7 2008 10:34PM (IST)
I have found out the end of the movie and the end comes from a very famous story " Face on the Wall".....
That story ends with the phrase ,"Sometimes Facts are stranger than fiction"......" In the story ,The Protagonist leaves the room saying that he was just passing his time and his story was fake"
The same happens here...Inspector goes down in the car and tells his driver that he fooled the gathering with that same old Darjeeling story and laughs...This makes very clear that the inspector had just made up a story which was not true.So all the people of the gathering and the millions of people who watched the movie were puzzled.Trust me this is the correct ending. There was no Rimli and Ankur... This was all a timepass...
Hope this eases some of the confused people out there...This movie is great...
Hats Off!!!!!

Could have done better
by George Mathew on Jul 12 2008 12:11AM (IST)
u are right that it makes the viewers really involved (discussing between themselves y I came for this movie ...he he ) Jokes apart I it was a real good attempt but I feel it could have done better.... These are some of the reasons I didn’t like the movie... the same scenes shown again and again was really irritating and boring... the confusion about who is really missing kay kay or sonali.... the sad acting by sonali... the ending could have been better if the story was narrated in a little better... The reasons I liked the movie are It’s short he he... Really nice attempt breaking free from the usual signing and dancin!!.. It actually does make the audience actively involved in the movie like the director intended... hats off to that!! Terrific acting by kay kay, vinay, rajat , etc etc .. The trippy ending!!!
The movie is worth a watch wen it comes on the DVD or from u r P2P software...cheers

Via Darjeeling

It is inspired by Roshomon no doubt, but the movie has it own flavour. In my point of view the audience will be doing the same discussion that the characters in the movie were doing, after the movie ends. And I believe the 2nd version of the story that unfolds later in movie initiated by Proshanth Narayan's character is the true one. As Sandhya Mridul also participates in the discussion whcih she was avoiding till then. And However, there is one jarring line that does not make sense to me. In one instance, Robin says that Rimli went missing, when it was Ankur who went missing. Now, is this a flaw? Robin is the cop, so how could he make this error. Even if he did, the others could have pointed it out. Or did the director overlook this blunder?
The above is not a flaw.......
