When he celebrated his 42nd birthday few days ago would Salman Khan have mused about the fact that he needs to undertake a change of image to shed away his image of a lover boy and graduate to being an actor of eminence. Salman Khan has written new theories about lover boy and the choice of the name Prem that is given to him in nearly all the movies is symptomatic about the fact that Salman and love are two sides of the same coin. It was his image of lover boy which even led to adoption of a new hairdo by his crazy fans after he displayed the same in TERE NAAM.

However, it is indeed the opportune moment to graduate to being a comedy star, as the timing of comedy which Salman has displayed right from the times of ANDAAZ APNA APNA to PARTNER is unparalleled.

The success that films based on humor have made during 2007 indeed indicates that the audience is starved of humor and would lap up anything that could mitigate the struggle for day-to-day survival.
