Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan's production house Illuminati films is set to release their maiden venture LOVE AAJ KAL, in association with Eros International on 31st July 2009.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who did miracles with Abhay Deol in SOCHA NA THA, Shahid Kapur-Kareena Kapoor in JAB WE MET in the past, is back with the same magic with his newest film on the block LOVE AAJ KAL starring Saif ali Khan, Deepika Padukone in the lead roles & Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Khanna as the supporting characters. Other cast includes Florence Brudenell, Kavi Shastri, Vir Das, Mandi Sidhu, Elizabeth Tan, Manushka Khisty, Sagar Arya, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajendranath Zutshi and Dhiru Dwiwedi. Music of LOVE AAJ KAL is composed by Pritam with lyrics provided by Irshad Kamil.
LOVE AAJ KAL is set to have a fresh take on relationships in a language that will appeal to everyone. It talks about how romance was during yesteryears, using ageless lover boy Rishi Kapoor's track and how it is today, with Saif and Deepika's story taking the centre stage. In fact, the film is an interesting amalgamation and superimposition of the two eras!

London, San Francisco, Delhi - 2009.
Jai and Meera are modern-day couple in London. They are very happy together but do not believe in tying each other down. So when life pulls them in different directions, they decide to go with the flow. ''These Heer-Ranjha, Romeo-Juliet type janam janam ka saath type couples exist only in story books,'' Jai says. In the real life, we have to be practical.

Delhi, Calcutta - 1965.
Veer Singh is struck by a thunderbolt when he sees Harleen for the first time. Soon after, he stands under a tree and swears that ''is janam mein aur har janam mein... yehi meri votti banegi - Harleen Kaur.'' He travels a thousand kilometers by train to stand under her balcony only to have a glimpse of her face. And yet not speak a word with her.
