DVD promo of APNE - Highly disappointing

It is an accepted fact that APNE is a well made film that has been accepted by audience across the country. Same is expected in the home video circuit as well with the film's original DVDs and VCDs releasing on the stands at rock bottom prices.

What one fails to understand though is way the DVD release is being promoted. The advertisement features a family comprising of a kid, his 'dadaji', 'dadiji', 'mummyji', 'chachuji' and 'papaji' sitting together in a living room and watching APNE on a DVD.

All fair so far except for the fact that emotions on the faces of each of the family members have to be seen to be believed. While 'dadiji' gets all teary eyed on seeing the emotional moments in the film and taps the shoulder of her daughter-in-law, the 'papaji' gets an adrenalin rush as Sunny paaji promises to beat the pulp out of the villain. This is not all as 'mummyji' consoles 'papaji' by looking at him from the corner of the eye and holding his palm.

All this while 'dadaji' feels emotional whenever Dharamendra comes on the frame whereas the kid (with his boxing gloves intact) flares his nostrils like a seasoned performer even as Bobby Deol tries his best to win the battle in the ring.

We could go on talking about this priceless gem which goes by the name of APNE DVD promo but then it has to be seen to be believed.

One suggestion for the makers of the film and the DVD company - Stick on to the theatrical promo of APNE or create something new. The film is far too good to be endorsed on home video in such a manner!
