Contrary to recent tabloid reports, Ajay Devgan's directorial debut U, ME AUR HUM, is not based on THE NOTEBOOK, a Hollywood film.

The film starring Ajay Devgan and Kajol in the lead along with Divya Dutta, Isha Sharvani, Sumeet Raghvan, Karan Khanna is written by Robin Bhatt, Sutanu Gupta, Akarsh Khurana is an original screenplay. The film is produced by Devgan Films.
