DARLING - RGV's best horror offering since BHOOT?

Ram Gopal Varma remade his RAAT into BHOOT and demonstrated to the world that he had a strong grip over the horror genre as well.

Though his other horror (no pun intended) productions like DARNA MANA HAI, VAASTUSHASTRA and DARNA ZAROORI HAI hardly created a similar impact, RGV's love for horror never died down. Last year he started working on his romantic-horror flick DARLING which is now all set for a September 7th release.

By the look of things, it seems quite apparent that DARLING is a quality film in the offering from the director. Though the film maker is completely occupied with the promotion of his most ambitious project till date RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG, one can sense that he hasn't been able to focus to a similar extent in case of DARLING.

While there have been interviews galore by the film maker when it comes to RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG, he has hardly spoken about DARLING till date inspite of the film being a T-Series home production.

Now that's a little disappointing since the theatrical promo of DARLING has been pretty impressive while carrying shades of brilliance of a style similar to that of BHOOT. In addition, each of the three lead protagonists, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Isha Koppikar, look quite competent though one gets a strong sense that Fardeen Khan may just about steal the show.

Background music appears to be of top quality while the camerawork is again expected to jolt you in a big way a la BHOOT. The film's music is already a chartbuster with both Himesh Reshammiya's 'Tadap' and Pritam's 'Aa Khushi Se Khuskhushi' aiming for the top slots in the countdowns.
