While the director of DHAN DHANA DHAN GOAL, Vivek Agnihotri may have missed out on the special preview of Farah Khan's OM SHANTI OM, his wife, actress Pallavi Joshi, kids and friend-cum-star of GOAL, Arshad Warsi enjoyed it thoroughly. It is obvious that the committed director was busy with the post-production of his second film after CHOCOLATE (2005).
All the same, Vivek talks about a previously unheard of aspect in a mainstream Bollywood movie, small town insecurities. For those who are unaware, Vivek is from Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and was an avid football and cricket player. But laments the fact that he could not excel in either of the two, due to lack of proper facilities in small towns during those days.
Vivek adds that unlike today, most sports were only meant for big city dwellers and many a talents have had a silent death (career wise). And that is precisely the reason why he has touched upon it in his latest venture (albeit in a subtle way), this Friday's big release, DHAN DHANA DHAN GOAL.
