Gibson Guitar and Sandeep Chowta are partnering to bring the world's first guitar with robotic technology, the Gibson Robot Guitar, to life on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. True to the spirit of innovation, Gibson Guitar is set to make musical history with the invention of the world's first guitar with robotic technology.
Amongst India's more eclectic and progressive music directors, Sandeep Chowta has composed soundtracks for such path-breaking Indian films as SATYA, MAST, COMPANY and the background score for 2007's biggest film OM SHANTI OM. With roots in jazz and Indian folk music and influences from world music, Sandeep Chowta is a musician whose references know no boundaries. Sandeep is currently busy at work on music for the Beijing Olympics as part of a cross-cultural musical group AO that includes legendary musicians Ricky Gannaway and Jay Oliver.
Sandeep Chowta will demonstrate and perform with the world's 1st run limited edition version of the Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar.
Across the Globe, the Gibson Robot Guitar goes on sale at 5pm on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 with a very limited number of guitars at each of the participating dealers.
