The full name of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's handsome son Ranbir is Ranbir Raj Kapoor, obviously after Ranbir's late grandfather, the original showman, Raj Kapoor. And it may come as a surprise to many that it is not dad Rishi Kapoor but grandfather Raj Kapoor who is Ranbir's role model and he aspires to be like him.
In fact, before becoming an actor (in the upcoming SAAWARIYA) Ranbir had assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali for BLACK and now has a good knowledge about the fine nuances of filmmaking, an art of which the late Raj Kapoor was a master.
Not only that, Ranbir's love and admiration for the senior Kapoor can be gauged from the fact that his caller tune is 'Dil Ka Haal Sune Dilwala' from granddad Raj Kapoor's classic, SHREE 420 and not from SAAWARIYA.
