Ashok Amritraj's THE OTHER END OF THE LINE launched

Ashok Amritraj, Chairman and CEO of Hyde Park Entertainment and producer of box office smashes such as PREMONITION, DREAMER, SHOPGIRL, BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE, RAISING HELEN, and MOONLIGHT MILE, announced the launch of his latest production titled THE OTHER END OF THE LINE. The film, a cross cultural romantic comedy, will be directed by James (Jimmy) Dodson and the cast includes Jesse Metcalfe, Shriya Saran, Anupam Kher, Tara Sharma amongst other Hollywood artists. The film will be released by MGM.
Beginning next week, the film will be shot for 40 days before going to California and New York. The film is slated to be released first in the US by the end of 2008. Jesse, best known for his role as the teenage gardner in 'Desperate Housewives' said, 'Though I do not know much about the Bollywood Films, I am very excited to work with this cast and looking forward to shooting in India.' In the movie Jesse would be seen romancing with Shriya Saran, whose latest release was SHIVAJI with Rajnikanth. Shriya is also known as South India's most desirable actress. 'Yes, I'd be romancing with Jesse in the movie. It's a great script and I am looking forward to have such a good looking hunk as my co-star,' she gladly said.
Anupam Kher, who played Shriya's father in a film earlier, will again be playing her father. 'I did play her father earlier, but that was a very different genre as compared to this, where I would be playing an out-an-out comedy / light hearted father,' he informed. Tara Sharma who has a small but significant role was selected by the director after seeing her in KHOSLA KA GHOSLA and being impressed immediately. 'I have a small but a very significant role in this film,” she informed. Also on yet another comment that Jesse would be romancing with her too in the film, she clarified, 'No, it's not me that Jesse would be wooing.'
The other cast include Larry Miller and Sara Foster. Larry Miller shared screen space with Eddie Murphy in the box office smashes THE NUTTY PROFESSOR and NUTTY PROFESSOR II: THE KLUMPS. He has played comic roles in films such as PRETTY WOMAN, and KISS KISS BANG BANG, besides numerous TV appearances. Where as Sara did the lead role in the film THE BIG BOUNCE. Her recently completed films include BACHELOR PARTY 2 and PSYCH 9.
