UFO India Ltd. saved the day for Fame Tapadia, Aurangabad when the much-awaited analogue prints of RAM GOPAL VERMA KI AAG didn’t reach the entire Nizam territory in time because they were offloaded at the Mumbai Airport. Film buffs were anxiously waiting to see this star-studded and much talked about film and were obviously disappointed.

“The minute we learnt that we wouldn’t be receiving the year’s most hyped movie – RAM GOPAL VERMA KI AAG’s prints as expected this morning, we immediately called the people at UFO India Ltd. & within half an hour, we received the license to show the movie in our theatre. Thanks to UFO India Ltd’s state of the art system being retrofitted in our cinema, we did not disappoint our anxious patrons, who had made advance bookings,” said Mr. Abhishek Rai of Shringar Cinemas Ltd.

Commenting on this feat, Mr. Rajesh Mishra, CEO India Operations, UFO India Ltd., said, “We are glad that we were able to assist Shringar Cinemas in their hour of need with our high technology system. Early box office earnings are the deciding factor for any film and no theatre owner would want to miss out on this golden opportunity. There were no two ways about it and we went ahead and gave Fame Tapadia, Aurangabad the license to exhibit the movie.”

With constant up-gradation in technology, impacting the Indian Film Industry positively, soon filmmakers may be opting for more digital rather than analogue prints due to the long list of benefits that it provides. Thanks to the company’s superior technology, within no time at all, a theatre in Aurangabad was able to exhibit the much talked about movie that premiered in Mumbai yesterday. The box-office success of the movie has many dimensions to it, digital prints’ release being one of them.

UFO India Ltd., the pioneers in the digital cinema business and the world’s largest digital cinema chain, digitalized some of the blockbusters, including HEY BABY, JAANEMAN, KRISSH and DON, which were among the many big movies to go digital on screen in recent years.

Digital cinema greatly simplifies the distribution process – potentially allowing unlimited copies of the movie to be instantly broadcast or uploaded to cinemas as needed. Cost of digital processing of a film with its transmission via satellite is far below the cost of film prints as well as transportation of the film prints to theaters in A, B & C tier cities. Digitalization of a movie also helps in combating the mammoth of piracy. A digital print of a movie facilitates simultaneous, first-day-first-show release in any part of the country thereby discouraging piracy activities.
