'The Imtiaz Ali touch' - That's what one is looking for from his upcoming release LOVE AAJ KAL which is just round the corner. And why not? After all from SOCHA NA THA to JAB WE MET, there is a definite Imtiaz Ali touch which is there for all to see. And if the promos of LOVE AAJ KAL are any indication then it is all set to create a hat trick as far as carrying forward the tag that goes by the name of Imtiaz Ali.
So in a way, does LOVE AAJ KAL reflect the film maker's own personality?
"See, a person and a movie can't be detached from each other", says Imtiaz after pondering for a while, "Your own personality does reflect in the movies that you make. But then I can't wake up one day and say that 'OK, let me make a film which is just me'!"

He goes on to joke though by stating, "In any case, I don't have any opinion about myself!"
He must be certainly brimming with ideas. So what is it that triggers him to pick one story and make a film out of it?
"First and foremost, I never think it that way ki chalo iss story ko picture mein banate hain", he starts reasoning, "I make something jiski kahaani sunaane mein maza aata hai. It can actually never be put down into black and white. What I know for sure is that I haven't compromised a story for a project. It has to be something that I am very-very positive of letting the world know about. As life moves on, one gains experiences. It's these experiences that led me to LOVE AAJ KAL."
