Ranbir Kapoor's new look, sporting the macho turban & a rugged beard in Shimit Amin's ROCKET SINGH has generated quite a stir within Bollywood. In the recent pictures circulated all over the media, Ranbir carries off the pagdi avatar with great elan. Obviously the first thought which runs through the mind about this young Kapoor lad is that he, being the heir to the Kapoor legacy; art is written on his heart whereby acting turns out to be a natural progression, given his illustrious lineage in the profession.

Well before you jump to conclusions and wrongly assume, we re glad to tell you that this time around it's not the 'Kapoor Ka Kamal' (Kapoor magic) which runs into his blood, but mom Neetu Singh's maternal connection which seems to have inspired Ranbir's perfect look. Even mum Neetu is quite happy to see her son in this new get-up for the film. We hear, the beaming mother feels that Ranbir looks like a real sardar and not a filmy one. Reportedly, for Neetu, who is a sardarni herself, it's a dream come true to see her puttar playing a sardar. Ranbir, who interacted with a lot of sardars to get his nuances right, looks very handsome in this avatar. Infact his look in ROCKET SINGH makes mommy dear wonder how he'd have looked in real life if she were married to a Sardar.
After starting his innings as an actor with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's SAAWARIYA then playing a Casanova in Yash Raj Films' BACHNA AE HASEENO, Ranbir has come off age, abandoning his boyish charm for a masculine avatar in this comedy.
