Earlier this week, we had told you about how relevant the unusual title 99 is to the lives of the two talented directors (and childhood friends!) Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK!

However, we also wanted to know why the title was chosen for this Friday's much awaited release. And who better than Krishna to answer that! He tells us, ''I'll say, the title 99 chose us, instead of the other way around! As we were developing the characters, we realized that just like our film, which is away from the conventional path (but highly entertaining and thrilling), we needed an apt but unusual title. The film is about real life and ordinary characters, put in a filmy situation. Just like a batsmen in cricket, who reaches 99 and thinks that century is just around the corner, there are situations in the film where the main protagonists of 99 also feel that they have almost achieved their objective, but....!''
Well, you do make a point and a lot of sense Krishna, about not only the title but the film as well. And we are quite sure that the audience too will agree with us, once they are thoroughly entertained (after a long gap!) by 99 at the cinemas!
