VIVEK OBEROI IN RAKTA CHARITRA |
| It has been around three weeks since the announcement around RAKTA CHARITRA was made. While Ram Gopal Varma has proudly announced the cast of the film, the man of the moment, Vivek Oberoi, can't help but term Ramu as the 'master' and excitedly talks about his much touted comeback film.
''I am thrilled that there has been such a strong positive reaction to the film and especially my look'', smiles Vivek when informed that the look of Paritala Ravi has been quite intriguing ever since it was splashed all over the media.
What was his contribution to the look? Was he too involved in the creative process and chose his options or was it Ramu's team that worked on it in entirety?
CHECK OUT: In mere 7 seconds I decided for RAKTA CHARITRA
''Just like COMPANY, Ramuji inspired me with a narration of the character. He made the actor in me hungry as hell and I worked hard on the look of Ravi just like I had worked on the look of Chandu in my first film. Words cannot express the satisfaction I felt when I saw Ramuji's elated reaction to the pictures'', says Vivek who is currently shooting overseas for yet untitled Karan Johar production that is being called JIHAAD by a section of trade.
He adds that working on RAKTA CHARITRA would be like a dream coming true since he would now be working in a high profile project, boast of a tailor-made role, would be returning with a film maker who is easily the best in drama genre and most importantly, will expectedly have an altogether different perception being built about him amongst the audience.
To be produced by Madhu Mantena, RAKTA CHARITRA would be shot in one stretch beginning 1st August once Ramu is through with the shooting of RANN. RAKTA CHARITRA will release on two parts in the months of January and April 2010 respectively.
