Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney Pictures' ROADSIDE ROMEO - India's first fully animated 3D film created on par with Hollywood productions - has been selected for The Shanghai Film Festival in the Panorama Section. The Shanghai Film Festival runs from 13th June to 21st June.
The film has also earned a place in The Seoul Film Festival, Korea, in the Invitation Section Out Of Competition. The Seoul Film Festival takes place from 19th August to 25th August.
ROADSIDE ROMEO released worldwide on 24th October 2008. The movie has received immense praise all along and was awarded The Golden Cursor Animation (GCA) Award in 5 categories, the Screen Award for Best Animation Film, the 24 FPS Animation Award for the Best Animation Film and the coveted FICCI BAF Award for the Best Animated Feature Film.
Featuring the voices of Bollywood superstars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapooralong with comedian Jaaved Jaffrey as Romeo, Laila and Charlie Anna respectively, the film has been written and directed by the talented Jugal Hansraj.
