Katrina Kaif, the actor, returns

She was one of the shining spots in BLUE, albeit in a small role. And now Katrina Kaif is all set to be seen as a leading lady in as many as two films this November - AJAB PREM KI GHAJAB KAHANI and DE DANA DAN.
For someone who was written off after working with Amitabh Bachchan in as many as two films at an early stage of her career - BOOM and SARKAR - Katrina is one of the strongest contenders today for the Top-3 spots which is currently being occupied by Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai.

Now with AJAB PREM.... and DE DANA DAN, she is enjoying the best of both worlds. While in the former she is paired with the hottest new entrant in the industry, Ranbir Kapoor, who has recently regaled audiences with WAKE UP SID, in the latter she has Akshay Kumar for company with whom she has already delivered five consecutive successful films.
Even though official confirmation is yet awaited on the newer films that she has signed, Katrina is pretty much having a secure 2010 for her with much anticipated RAJNEETI round the corner. With NEW YORK showcasing her acting potential quite well, this political drama/thriller by Prakash Jha should further consolidate her position in the industry which is desperately looking for some fresh faces to make a mark.
Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see how Katrina, who was once labelled as a non-actor, gets the right mannerisms and body language once seen in comedies like AJAB PREM KI GHAJAB KAHANI and DE DANA DAN.
