SHARIB, TOSHI, NEIL NITIN MUKESH and MADHUR BHANDARKAR
JAIL is truly a film which has several layers of bolt from the blue. Recently Lata Mangeshkar recorded a song for JAIL and now its Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh following the rear and in the recording studio one more time. Neil recorded a song for Bhandarkar Entertainment, Percept Picture Company & Sanjay Ghodawat Group's film JAIL with the Music Director duo Sharib-Toshi. The song is titled ''Saiyan Ve'' (Rock Version) and the lyrics are by Sharib-Toshi themselves. Neil is playing the lead in the film with Mugda Godhse playing as his love interest. The film has been directed by the three times National Award winner Madhur Bhandarkar himself. The film will release Worldwide on 6th November, 09. The music of the film is on T-Series.
At this propitious moment Madhur Bhandarkar himself was present to encourage the Trio of Neil & Sharib-Toshi & said, ''I am very happy and I Know Neil's singing would only add more feathers to cap. The original version of 'Saiyan Ve' is sung by Toshi and this rock version will now have the actor as well along with Sharib in it. I hope that the audience will like this amalgamation.''
Neil added, ''I love singing and also by the grace of God, I have a milieu of singing. So when I was offered this song I couldn't refuse to go along with it. JAIL is a very dear movie to me and this would just add a little more involvement with the flick. I would go all out to do anything for JAIL as I trust the man behind it, Mr. Madhur Bhandarkar, he is perhaps one of the finest directors India has ever produced. I am super excited and hope that people love this song. Sharib-Toshi have given, amazing music and lyrics which is another USP of the song. Bonding with the Duo was so much fun and I really had quite a nice time singing this rock version.''
JAIL has always been victorious in gathering attention right from its commencement. It is a sensitive tale of an ordinary man Parag Dixit, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, who finds himself inside the four walls of a prison which leads to series of unfortunate events around him. The whole film is from his point of view and tells the stories of several other inmates of the prison. Some of these are under trials, convicts and also the cops who are in charge of maintaining the order in the prison. JAIL gives a ringside view of the world that exists inside the walls of the prison spread across our country. The film also casts Manoj Bajpai in pivotal role.
Sharib-Toshi seemed quite cheerful and added, ''We are really glad that Neil himself will lend his voice to our song in the film. This Rock version would have us & Neil as the singers. We feel that the lyrics of the song are very contagious and the feel of the song would capture the masses. Neil was a pleasure to work with as a singer. Definitely music & singing is in his genes, but it is also his hard work that his notes are so appropriate. We would love to thank Madhur Sir for giving us such a wonderful opportunity and making us part of his film. We have done 3 songs for the film and hope that all of them will be appreciated by the audience.''
The recording went on for five long hours where in Neil Nitin Mukesh flaunted all his vocal talent. His voice added to the grace of the song. This song is going be the promotional song for the film JAIL and the trio of Neil & Sharib-Toshi is all set to mesmerize the nation musically. This is the second playback song from Neil Nitin Mukesh. He had earlier sung a song for his film AA DEKHEN ZARAA before JAIL.
