Sanjay Gupta's PANKH has Bipasha Basu acting opposite a newbie, Maradona Rebello. So what was it that made a frontline actress like Bipasha Basu sign a movie opposite a rank newcomer?

Well, as per Bipasha herself, there was not one but two very important reasons that made Bipasha accept the project. First of all, the director of PANKH, Sudipto Chattopadhyaya is Bipasha Basu's next door neighbour in her hometown of Calcutta. And secondly and most importantly, Bipasha felt that her role is the most challenging one she has ever done, apart from it being unique too. Bips feels that that her portrayal of an imaginary lover of a seventeen year old boy, played by Maradona Rebello, was very challenging but she really put in a lot of hard work and is happy with her performance. She is quite positive that people will appreciate her work as she has left no stones unturned to make her role a memorable one. She is also full of praise for Maradona Rebello, who she says has worked really hard and has done a good job, that of the lead actor of the film.
Quite interesting revelations, must say makes PANKH a 'league se hat ke' film! Definitely this film will be worth a watch when it releases.
