Koena Mitra: Movie making is much more than kisses and bikinis

Koena Mitra has exuded oomph in majority of her major outings like MUSAFIR, APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY and EK KHILADI EK HASEENA. Now that she is looking at making a splash all over again with a new crop of films that are lined up for her, Koena truly believes that it's time for 'junta' as well as media to bring in the much required change as far as skin show is concerned.
In each of her films so far, Koena has been seen in her sensual avtar. As things stand today, she isn't really looking at changing an image built up around her.
"When it comes to the way I have been presented so far, a lot of credit should go to those people who have taken the pains to capture me through the right camera angles", says Koena fondly, "They have ensured that more than looking just sexy, I also carry a classy appeal. So much depends upon the way a shot is taken. If a girl is asked to give some really weird expressions then even if she is fully clothed, she would look vulgar."

Looking at the current scenario, Koena is hopeful that there would be a change soon.
"There is so much sensation being created by media. All we need is some smart audience and some smart minds to acknowledge that this is merely a part of storytelling", opines Koena, "I am sure there are some sections of media as well as in industry who would agree no less and concentrate on the actual merits on a film and it's stars rather than a scene or two where someone kisses or wears a bikini. Movie making is much more than that."
