Hanuman Ansh box office: 5th Wednesday beats Monday as collections rise to Rs. 147.35 crore

Hanuman Ansh earns Rs. 9.75 crore on its 5th Wednesday, taking its 34 day total to Rs. 147.35 crore nett and keeping its Rs. 300 crore target alive.

Hanuman Ansh continues its remarkable run at the Indian box office, with the film recording a higher collection on its fifth Wednesday than it did on Monday. The film collected Rs. 9.75 crore nett approx on Wednesday, taking its total collection to Rs. 147.35 crore nett. This is a notable trend because films usually see a drop of around 15 to 25 per cent on Wednesdays. Instead, Hanuman Ansh saw its collection increase.

The fifth Wednesday collection of Rs. 9.75 crore nett approx is also being reported as the biggest fifth Wednesday collection of all time. The next highest collection was Rs. 3.50 crore nett by Dhurandhar. Hanuman Ansh has now recorded the highest daily collection for every day of its fifth week and could continue to add more records during its run.

The film has collected around Rs. 77 crore nett in the first six days of its fifth week. Its fifth week is expected to finish at around Rs. 86 crore nett, which would be almost double the previous fifth week record. The film has also continued to grow from one week to the next, making its final box office total difficult to predict.

There are some signs that the film could now start following a more normal collection pattern. Advances have started to come down from Wednesday. However, in the last two weeks, Thursday collections have been higher than Wednesday collections. Even if the film starts following a regular trend, its numbers are expected to remain strong.

Hanuman Ansh is currently running at around 2.5 times the pace of Dhurandhar, which added Rs. 43 crore nett after its fifth week. If Hanuman Ansh maintains the same lead, it could reach around Rs. 263 crore nett. If the film continues to outperform expectations, Rs. 300 crore nett remains a possibility.

The film is now being described as a SUPER BLOCKBUSTER, with its Rs. 2 crore production cost making its returns particularly significant. Additional revenue from digital rights, which have not been sold yet, could further increase its profits.
