Hanuman Ansh box office: Film crosses Rs. 137 crore as 5th Tuesday sees a big jump

Hanuman Ansh collected Rs. 10.50 crore on its 5th Tuesday, taking its India total to Rs. 137.35 crore as the film continues its strong box office run.

Hanuman Ansh continues its impressive run at the Indian box office. The film collected Rs. 10.50 crore on its 5th Tuesday, registering a 10 per cent increase compared with the previous day. The rise in collections came mainly because of discounted ticket prices on Tuesday. With this latest collection, the film has now earned Rs. 67.25 crore in the first five days of its 5th week. Its total theatrical collection in India has reached Rs. 137.35 crore nett.

The strong performance has put Hanuman Ansh within touching distance of the Rs. 150 crore nett mark. Based on the current trend, the film is expected to cross that milestone by the end of this week. After that, attention will shift towards the Rs. 200 crore club. The film is also continuing to receive a strong number of shows in its 5th week despite the release of Mirzapur: The Movie, showing that exhibitors are still giving the film considerable screen space.

There is also speculation that Hanuman Ansh could have a much bigger final total if its current momentum continues. The film has the potential to reach somewhere between Rs. 300 crore and Rs. 400 crore during its complete theatrical run, although that will depend on how collections hold up in the coming weeks and how strongly new releases affect its screen count.

The film has already emerged as a SUPER BLOCKBUSTER and has delivered one of the highest returns on investment in Indian cinema. Hanuman Ansh was reportedly made on a production budget of Rs. 2 crore, making its current box office performance particularly significant. The film could potentially generate absolute profits of more than Rs. 100 crore. Its digital rights have also not been sold yet, which could provide another source of revenue.

According to the report, distributors could also benefit if sharing terms are renegotiated. Under the prevailing arrangement, the distributor reportedly receives 30 per cent of the NETT as SHARE after the third week. Although this is technically the film’s fifth week, its strong performance means it is behaving more like a second week in terms of business. A possible renegotiation could reportedly add another Rs. 20-30 crore SHARE for the distributor.
