Hanuman Ansh box office: Film holds strong on 4th Wednesday, inches closer to Rs. 60 crore

Hanuman Ansh adds Rs. 7.25 crore on 4th Wednesday, taking its total to Rs. 59.45 crore nett as the film eyes the Rs. 100 crore club.

Hanuman Ansh continued its strong run at the Indian box office on its 4th Wednesday. The devotional drama collected Rs. 7.25 crore, which was around a 10 per cent drop compared with the previous day. With this latest collection, the film has taken its fourth week total to Rs. 47 crore plus in 6 days. Based on its current performance, the movie is expected to finish the week at around Rs. 53 crore, which would be a strong result considering how its box office journey has developed.

The film has now collected Rs. 59.45 crore nett in India. Its performance has been particularly notable because the movie saw a major turnaround in Week 3 before delivering an even stronger performance in Week 4. Instead of slowing down as expected for a film that has been in theatres for several weeks, Hanuman Ansh has managed to attract audiences and maintain a healthy pace.

The next stage of its box office journey will depend on how well it performs against new competition, including Mirzapur. If Hanuman Ansh continues to hold strongly in the coming days, it could move closer to the Rs. 100 crore nett mark. The film has already established itself as a SUPER HIT, while its continued growth could put the BLOCKBUSTER tag within reach.

Hanuman Ansh collected Rs. 90 lakh in Week 1, followed by Rs. 45 lakh in Week 2 and Rs. 10.35 crore in Week 3. In its fourth week, the film collected Rs. 6.25 crore on Friday, Rs. 9.25 crore on Saturday, Rs. 12.00 crore on Sunday, Rs. 5.00 crore on Monday, Rs. 8.00 crore (est.) on Tuesday and Rs. 7.25 crore (est.) on Wednesday, taking the total to Rs. 59.45 crore nett.

There is also an interesting point regarding the film’s revenue sharing. By the fourth week, the producer’s share is generally around 30 per cent of nett collections, compared with the higher share possible during the early weeks. Since Hanuman Ansh has recorded its biggest collections much later in its theatrical run, the film’s producer share could be affected.

Interestingly, the distributor of Hanuman Ansh is also an exhibitor chain. This makes it worth watching whether the revenue sharing terms are reconsidered, particularly for films that gain momentum several weeks after release.
