Hanuman Ansh continues its remarkable run at the Indian box office and has now created another major record. The film collected approximately Rs. 9.50 crore nett on its fifth Monday, matching its fifth Friday collection. The fact that there was no drop from Friday makes the performance even more notable, especially since Friday was a holiday. The film has continued to maintain strong momentum even after completing more than a month in theatres.
The Rs. 9.50 crore nett collection on the fifth Monday is the biggest ever recorded for a film on its fifth Monday in India. It comfortably beats the previous record of Rs. 3.90 crore nett set by Dhurandhar. The difference is significant, with Hanuman Ansh performing around 140 per cent higher than the previous benchmark. The film had already created a record for the biggest fifth week for a Hindi film during its first three days, and its Monday performance has now pushed that record even further.
After 32 days in theatres, Hanuman Ansh has collected approximately Rs. 126.85 crore nett in India. The film is still showing strong business in its fifth week, which has changed expectations for its final box office total. Based on its current pace, the film could cross Rs. 150 crore nett by the end of this week. Its fifth week could finish at close to Rs. 85 crore nett, which would be an exceptional result for a film at this stage of its theatrical run.
The film could then comfortably move towards the Rs. 200 crore nett mark. Rs. 250 crore nett is now being seen as a realistic target if the collections remain steady. If the strong momentum continues without a major slowdown, even Rs. 300 crore nett could become possible, while Rs. 400 crore nett would be a much more ambitious outcome.
The film is now being described as a SUPER BLOCKBUSTER and is also expected to generate a very high return on investment. Made on a reported budget of Rs. 2 crore, its absolute profits could potentially cross Rs. 100 crore. The film is also yet to sell its digital rights. Further changes in distributor sharing terms could increase the profits, with a possible additional Rs. 20-30 crore SHARE if negotiations are successful.
