Housefull 5 Box Office Smash! Akshay Kumar’s Killer Comedy Hits Rs 100 Crore in Just 6 Days

Housefull 5, directed by Akshay Kumar, keeps its run at the Indian box office going with a good performance. On its sixth day, an operational Wednesday, the comedy movie raked in an estimated ₹7.75 crore, taking its total India net to ₹107.90 crore. The movie has now officially crossed the ₹100 crore barrier, with it being the second quickest movie in the Housefull franchise to do so.

Day-Wise Collections Show Consistency

Even as there was this mid-week decline, the figures reflect a steady hold, particularly after the movie saw the ‘Discount Tuesday’ benefit. Following is a day-wise India net box office collection breakdown:

Day 1: ₹22 crore

Day 2: ₹28.25 crore

Day 3: ₹29 crore

Day 4: ₹11 crore

Day 5: ₹9.90 crore

Day 6: ₹7.75 crore

Total: ₹107.90 crore

Written and directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie boasts an all-star cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri. Its signature slapstick humor and big star power are major success drivers.

Rare Dual Ending Piques Interest of Viewers

Joining the buzz is the movie’s special format  two versions with varying endings: Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. Version A leads with close to 70% of current releases, while version B trails behind. The difference is likely to increase by the second weekend as version A picks up more pace.

Globally as well, the movie is doing good, looking at a gross of USD 7.5–8 million (₹65–69.5 crore). As it goes into its second weekend, everyone is watching if Housefull 5 can keep up the pace and look at crossing the ₹200 crore mark.
