The Akshay Kumar-led Housefull 5 is just hours away from release, and early signs from advance bookings hint at a decent start with room for improvement. As of Thursday, 11:59 PM, the film has sold around 95,000 tickets across major national chains.
Ticket Sales Across National Chains
PVRInox leads the count with 75,500 tickets sold, followed by 19,250 tickets at Cinepolis. If momentum continues overnight, the film could hit 1.10 lakh pre-sale tickets before the first show on Friday morning. For perspective, Raid 2 had sold 86,000 tickets at midnight and opened with a total of 93,000 in pre-sales.
Though the current figure places Housefull 5 as the third-biggest advance of 2025 (after Chhaava and Sikandar), trade experts expected a 25% higher pre-sale for a film of this scale. However, the film’s organic and unmanipulated advance numbers are a positive takeaway.

Hopes Pinned on Walk-Ins and Weekend Surge
Unlike action or event films, the Housefull franchise isn’t typically advance-heavy, relying instead on strong walk-in audiences and weekend jumps. The film is expected to gain momentum on Friday and could see major spikes on Saturday and Sunday, especially with the holiday boost.
The makers have opted for super blockbuster pricing, which may result in 25% higher revenue from pre-sales compared to Raid 2, even with similar ticket volumes.
Performance in Non-National Chains & Split Between Versions
In non-national chains, the film has performed relatively well: MovieMax (3,600), Miraj (4,500), Rajhans (3,750). Interestingly, 70% of sales are for Housefull 5A, with 5B lagging at 30%.
Overall, it’s an average advance, but a strong word-of-mouth and solid weekend showing could push the film toward its Rs 80 crore target weekend.
