Mere Husband Ki Biwi day 7 Box office: Arjun Kapoor’s film scrapes together 30 lakh, but will it survive week

Released last Friday, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is a romantic comedy featuring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. While the film has garnered attention for its star-studded cast, its box office performance in its first week has been underwhelming, especially with the strong presence of Chhaava dominating the screens.

Box Office Performance

Mere Husband Ki Biwi had a modest start at the box office with an opening of Rs 1.5 crore. The film showed slight growth over the weekend, collecting Rs 4.55 crore by the end of Sunday. However, the subsequent weekdays saw a steep decline in collections. On Monday and Tuesday, the film brought in just Rs 55 lakh and Rs 45 lakh, respectively. While there was a small boost on Wednesday due to Maha Shivratri, with the film earning Rs 55 lakh, the drop in numbers remained significant.

By Day 7, Mere Husband Ki Biwi had a cumulative net collection of Rs 6.4 crore, which indicates a lukewarm reception overall. The film’s numbers for the first week are as follows:

  • Day 1: Rs 1.5 crore
  • Day 2: Rs 1.65 crore
  • Day 3: Rs 1.40 crore
  • Day 4: Rs 55 lakh
  • Day 5: Rs 45 lakh
  • Day 6: Rs 55 lakh
  • Day 7: Rs 30 lakh
  • Total: Rs 6.4 crore

Upcoming Competition and Challenges

This week is set to be a tough one for Mere Husband Ki Biwi, with Chhaava continuing to perform strongly at the box office. Additionally, the film will face competition from two new releases—Crazzy and Superboys of Malegaon—along with the re-release of Gangs of Wasseypur. This adds more pressure on the romantic comedy to hold its ground.

Despite its struggles, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is still playing in theaters near you. Have you booked your tickets yet to catch this rom-com on the big screen? Let us know in the comments!
