Metro In Dino, the romantic musical drama featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta, is steadily proving its box office mettle. After a fair start in its opening week, the film has shown consistent growth, especially in urban centers where audiences have responded positively to its contemporary themes and soulful music.

Now in its second week, the film is maintaining a decent pace on weekdays an encouraging sign for a mid-budget project. With good word-of-mouth and multiplex-driven footfall, Metro In Dino is on track to become a sleeper hit.

Day 12 Sees Growth Boost from Discounted Ticketing

On its 12th day (second Tuesday), the film earned Rs 1.7 crore at the Indian box office, a noticeable increase from Monday’s Rs 1.29 crore. The growth of approximately 31.78% is largely attributed to discounted ticket prices, which boosted audience turnout midweek.

With this, the film’s total net collection stands at Rs 44.58 crore in 12 days. Including GST and other taxes, the gross domestic collection has reached Rs 52.60 crore. The Rs 50 crore net milestone is now well within reach, and it is expected to be crossed in the coming days.

A Promising Journey for a Modest Production

Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro In Dino is being appreciated for its interwoven narrative, heartwarming storytelling, and strong performances from a seasoned cast. The film has resonated particularly well with metropolitan audiences, with cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune contributing significantly to its overall earnings.

For a moderately budgeted film without a major holiday boost, Metro In Dino has demonstrated strong legs, with minimal drop during weekdays a clear indicator of audience appreciation.

Clean Success on the Horizon

As the film inches closer to the Rs 50 crore net mark, it is poised to be labeled a clean success. This would be a notable achievement for all involved, particularly for Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, who have been looking to score a hit in their respective filmographies.

If the current trend continues, Metro In Dino could have an even longer theatrical run, aided by positive word-of-mouth and steady urban audience turnout.
