Sky Force crashes! Akshay Kumar’s film sees massive drop in Day 8 Box Office Collections

It’s January 24, 2025, a Republic Day weekend, and it is the time for Akshay Kumar to bring out the aerial action drama Sky Force, based on India’s first airstrike on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965. Kumar and newcomer Veer Pahariya are the two Indian Air Force officers who embark on this operation, while his wives are essayed by Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan.

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, Sky Force has now completed eight days in theaters. However, its showcasing has been reduced due to the release of Shahid Kapoor’s Deva, which is playing across 2,250 screens nationwide. Still, the film continues to stay steady on the box office and will sure well enter the ₹100 crore club.

On its second Friday, Sky Force is expected to cross ₹90 crore, with estimated earnings of ₹91.25 crore in eight days. In Sky Force, Akshay Kumar plays Wing Commander KO Ahuja, a fictionalized version of late IAF officer Om Prakash Taneja VrC, while Veer Pahariya plays T. Krishna Vijaya aka Tabby, inspired by late IAF officer Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya MVC. The film marks Akshay’s strong comeback and serves as Veer’s Bollywood debut.

Made by Jio Studios and Maddock Films, Sky Force continues to attract audiences, even amidst competition. It is a successful patriotic actioner at the box office.
