The adrenaline is kicking in as Ballerina, the much-awaited spinoff from the John Wick universe, edges closer to its release. Lionsgate has dropped a gripping teaser featuring a fierce confrontation between Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves, sending fans into a frenzy across social media. The action thriller is set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025, and ticket pre-sales open Tuesday, May 13.

A Deadly Mission in the World of John Wick

Titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, the film serves as the fifth installment in the blockbuster franchise. Set between John Wick: Chapter 3  Parabellum (2019) and Chapter 4 (2023), the story follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas), a deadly ballerina assassin trained by the Ruska Roma. Eve embarks on a vengeful journey to avenge her father’s death, with bone-crushing action and emotional stakes at every turn.

Directed by Len Wiseman and penned by Shay Hatten, the film promises to maintain the franchise’s iconic blend of choreography and drama. Hatten, who also co-wrote Parabellum and led the writing of Chapter 4, developed the original concept in 2017.

Star-Studded Cast & Final Tribute to Lance Reddick

The ensemble cast includes new additions Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus. Fans will also see franchise favorites Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves reprise their roles. The film also marks the final on-screen appearance of the late Lance Reddick as Charon, making it a poignant release for fans.

Filmed in Prague and wrapped with extra sequences in early 2024, Ballerina is backed by producer Chad Stahelski. With its explosive teaser and buzzworthy storyline, this summer’s most anticipated action film is ready to dominate the box office.
