Game Changer, the grand release scheduled to hit the screen on January 10, 2025 coinciding with Sankranti, directed by Shankar Shanmugham and featuring the lead pair as Ram Charan and Kiara Advani besides SJ Suryah. Telugu cinema gets one of the most anticipated action political drama thanks to the renowned producer Dil Raju.

Overseas advance booking for Game Changer has been lukewarm so far despite the high expectations. As of December 31, the movie has recorded pre-sales of $338K across 376 locations in North America, with around 12,000 tickets sold for 1,041 premiere shows in the USA. With ten days still to go before its release, the film’s advance bookings are expected to pick up as the date approaches.
Game Changer marks Ram Charan’s return to a full-fledged feature film after the massive success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. While his last project, Acharya, where he played an extended cameo, failed at the box office, fans are hopeful for a blockbuster comeback with this collaboration.
It is equally important for the director, Shankar, as his previous film, Indian 2, was a box office disaster. Written by Karthik Subbaraj, Game Changer is a political drama and an action film in one, thus promising a strong cinematic experience.
However, the film has stiff competition from Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the festive season.
