Ravi Teja’s Irumudi continued its strong run at the Indian box office on Day 6. The film collected Rs. 12 crore on its sixth day, registering a 17 per cent drop from the previous day. With this collection, the film’s total domestic earnings have reached Rs. 99 crore in just 6 days. The film is now only Rs. 1 crore away from crossing the Rs. 100 crore mark in India. If the current trend continues, Irumudi is expected to finish its opening week at around Rs. 110 crore.
The film faced some pressure on Wednesday after Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups arrived in theatres. The new release took away a significant number of shows from Irumudi, reducing its screen presence in several locations.
Despite losing showcasing, Irumudi managed to maintain strong audience interest. Occupancy improved during the day, helping the film remain close to its previous day’s performance, particularly in its home market.
