Suriya Strikes Again! Retro Advance Booking Sets the Stage on Fire with ₹2.70 Crore

Suriya is all set to make a powerful comeback to the big screens with his much-awaited film Retro, hitting theatres this weekend. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, Retro marks their first collaboration and is already creating a strong buzz among audiences. Touted to be a refreshing love story, the film is expected to open on a high note, thanks to an impressive advance booking response.

The advance booking for Retro kicked off on Sunday, March 27  four days before its release and the early numbers are promising. So far, the film has sold around 1.50 lakh tickets across 1,030 shows in Tamil Nadu alone, raking in approximately Rs 2.70 crore in advance sales for its opening day.

Strong Momentum Beyond Tamil Nadu
The film’s excitement isn’t just limited to Tamil Nadu. Retro has recorded decent pre-sales in neighbouring states like Kerala and Karnataka as well. In Kerala, the Suriya-starrer has collected over Rs 25 lakh through advance bookings, while Karnataka has contributed around Rs 12 lakh so far. With three more days to go, the numbers are expected to rise steadily.
