Alia Bhatt celebrated Raksha Bandhan by sharing a special post dedicated to her elder sister Shaheen Bhatt. On Friday, the actress posted two photographs that showed the sisters together at different stages of their lives. One picture is from their childhood, while the other captures a recent moment between them.
Alia kept her Raksha Bandhan message short and simple. Sharing the two pictures, she wrote, “घर 👯♀️🫶🏻”. The Hindi word “घर” means “home”, making it clear how Alia describes her relationship with Shaheen.
The first photograph takes viewers back to the sisters’ childhood. In the picture, a young Alia can be seen sitting beside Shaheen as they pose for the camera. Shaheen appears to be smiling with her eyes closed, while Alia looks towards the camera. The old photograph offers a glimpse of their bond from their younger days.
The second picture shows Alia and Shaheen as adults. The sisters are seen outdoors, laughing and hugging each other. Unlike the posed childhood photograph, the recent picture captures a more natural and playful moment between them.
Alia also added twin girl and heart hand emojis to her caption. Rather than sharing a long message for Raksha Bandhan, she allowed the two photographs and the single word “घर” to express her feelings.
Alia and Shaheen are the daughters of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. The sisters have often shared pictures and moments from their lives on social media. They have also spoken about their relationship during interviews over the years.
Their connection also extends to their professional lives. Shaheen has been involved with Alia’s production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, making their relationship both personal and professional.
On the work front, Alia has had a busy 2026. She starred with Sharvari in Alpha, the female led action film from Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. The film was directed by Shiv Rawail and also featured Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.
Alia is also starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She previously worked with Bhansali in Gangubai Kathiawadi, for which she received the National Film Award for Best Actress.
