Nita Ambani chose to adorn her hands with mehndi for her son Anant Ambani’s wedding, showcasing a beautiful design that included the names of her family members. This act was inspired by the traditional Indian custom where mehndi often incorporates the names of loved ones.
The design on her hands featured the names of her son Anant and his bride-to-be Radhika Merchant, her daughter Isha and son-in-law Anand Piramal, and her son Akash along with his wife Shloka Mehta. Additionally, the name of her husband Mukesh Ambani was also elegantly painted on her hands.
In addition to the names, a striking motif of Radha-Krishna adorned her palm, adding a touch of traditional symbolism to the intricate mehndi design. Nita Ambani’s attire for the occasion was a stunning peach silk ghagra designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, a renowned designer duo known for their exquisite creations.
Nita Ambani arrived at the wedding venue carrying a Raman Divo lamp, a significant element in Gujarati weddings traditionally carried by the groom’s mother. The wedding, termed as ‘Shubh Vivaah’, took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Following the wedding ceremony, there were celebrations scheduled including ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13 and a ‘Mangal Utsav’ or wedding reception on July 14. Another reception party was planned for July 15, all held in Mumbai.
