Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt will make her red carpet entry at the glitzy Cannes Film Festival 2025, becoming a representative of international beauty brand L’Oréal Paris. The festival between May 13 to May 24 will find Alia joining fellow Indian sensation Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a long-time L’Oréal ambassador, as part of brand celebrations marking its 28th anniversary at the global movie gala.
A Moment of Firsts
Announcing her participation, Alia expressed her excitement about her first appearance at Cannes. In a statement shared by news agency ANI, she said, “There’s something absolutely special about firsts and I’m so excited to make my Festival de Cannes debut this year, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression.” She added that it is an honour to represent L’Oréal Paris at the festival with this year’s theme, “Lights, Beauty and Action.”

Alia highlighted the significance of celebrating individuality and confidence as a brand ambassador. “To me, beauty is about celebrating individuality, confidence and self-worth. It’s limitless, it’s unique. I’m proud to stand with a brand that celebrates every woman’s journey and empowers them to shine in their own light,” she added.
L’Oréal Paris will have a robust presence at Cannes this year, with an eye-catching roster of international ambassadors such as Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Aja Naomi King, Andie MacDowell, Simone Ashley, Elle Fanning, Bebe Vio, and Yseult.
A Style Tribute at WAVES Summit
Alia was recently in the news with her presence at the WAVES summit in Mumbai, where she honored Maharashtra Day. She dressed up in a traditional Paithani sari draped in true Maharashtrian style, demonstrating her strong roots in Indian culture and fashion.

Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, Alia will next be seen in “Alpha,” directed by Shiv Rawail. The film is part of the Yash Raj Films’ spy universe and is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025.
