John Cena, the WWE legend and Hollywood star, made a grand entrance at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at the Jio World Convention Center in BKC, Mumbai. Embracing the traditional Indian attire, Cena wore a light blue bandhgala adorned with glittering patterns on the shoulders, paired with white pyjamas and brown shoes. His appearance was met with enthusiastic cheers as he graced the red carpet, flaunting his signature dimpled smile and playful demeanor with the paparazzi. Cena even delighted the photographers by striking his iconic “You Can’t See Me” pose.
Fans were thrilled to see Cena in traditional wear, with some humorously commenting, “Aaj se tumhara naam Jaswant Ceenha hoga,” and others saying, “Ambani be like: Abe mere bete ki shadi he teri WWE Nahi.” Many fans also referred to him as their “childhood hero,” highlighting his widespread popularity.
Earlier John Cena dressed casually in a grey tee, tan shorts, and a cap at the airport, Cena smiled and waved at the paparazzi, adding to the excitement surrounding the wedding.
The wedding ceremony’s shubh muhurat for the varmala was set for 8 PM, followed by an evening of celebrations featuring performances by renowned artists such as Amit Trivedi, Pritam, Neeti Mohan, Mame Khan, Kavita Seth, and Rema. The festivities will continue with the Shubh Aashirwad on July 13 and conclude with the Mangal Utsav, or wedding reception, on July 14, promising three days of extravagant celebration for the Ambani and Merchant families.
The wedding, themed “An Ode to Varanasi,” promises to be an opulent celebration of Indian culture, spirituality, and tradition. The decor pays homage to Varanasi, reflecting its rich traditions, piety, culture, arts, crafts, and Banarasi cuisine. Anant and Radhika’s wedding festivities began with pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar, attended by a distinguished guest list, setting the stage for the grand events in Mumbai.
