Sonakshi Sinha recently tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal in a beautiful wedding ceremony. On Tuesday, she shared some heartfelt snaps from their wedding reception on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the love, laughter, and support from their close ones, referring to it as a divine intervention.
The couple got married on June 23 in a civil ceremony held at Sonakshi’s new apartment, 81 Aureate, located near the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra West, Mumbai. The actress purchased this luxurious sea-facing apartment, situated on the 26th floor and spanning 4,210.87 square feet, in September last year for approximately Rs 11 crore.
The reception took place on the same day at Bastian, a well-known restaurant on Linking Road, Mumbai, famous for its Asian-inspired modernist cuisine. Sonakshi shared love-filled pictures from the event, where she wore a stunning custom red ‘chand boota’ brocade Raw Mango sari. Her makeup included nude pink lips, winged eyeliner, a contoured face, and a red bindi, with her hair styled in a neat bun adorned with a ‘gajra’. She accessorized with a green choker necklace, matching ‘chandbaalis’, bangles, and minimal red mehndi on her hands. Zaheer complemented her perfectly in an all-white sherwani. The photos captured the couple sharing sweet moments, including forehead kisses.
Sonakshi captioned the post: “Whattttt a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from every one of our friends, families and teams… it was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they’ve always hoped, wished and prayed for. If this is not divine intervention… we don’t know what is. We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer have been in a relationship for the past seven years. Their love story began with the help of actor Salman Khan, a friend of Zaheer’s family and the one who launched Sonakshi’s Bollywood career in the film “Dabangg” (2010). Salman introduced Sonakshi to Zaheer on the sets of “Notebook” in 2017, playing Cupid for the now happily married couple.
