Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are said to be having a spat following a viral clip which showed them exchanging a gaffe in regards to their names. The war started when Aamir called Ranbir “Ranbir Singh” while mistaking him for Ranveer Singh while speaking at a bash. Offended by the misnomer, Ranbir didn’t waste any time as soon the bickering began a lighthearted dispute.

The Incident That Sparked the Feud

The episode was at a party where Aamir was having a conversation with cricketer Rohit Sharma. As Rishabh Pant came up to Aamir for a photograph, Aamir believed Pant wanted to have his photo taken with him. But Rishabh wanted his photo with Ranbir. Aamir, who was embarrassed, introduced Ranbir as “Ranbir Singh,” and this prompted an annoyed Ranbir to joke, “Should I address him as Salman then?” The banter went on with Aamir saying he wouldn’t mind if he was referred to as Salman but would hate being referred to as Arbaaz.

Ranbir then jokingly commented on Aamir’s age, stating, “He’s 60 now, let him retire.” Aamir made a comment on young stars like Ranbir having egos bigger than the box office collections of their films. The drama unfolded to its peak when the two actors decided to put their differences aside in a “battle” on Dream 11, adding fuel to the fire.

Alia Bhatt fueled the fire by hinting at a potential collaboration between the two, posting a video of a poster of Aamir and Ranbir, captioning it as the “ultimate blockbuster” and insinuating an on-screen dramatic rivalry.
