Actor Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan have entered a new phase of their lives as parents. The couple has welcomed twin baby girls and shared the happy news with their fans on social media. They have also revealed the names of their daughters, Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal. The twins were born on August 23, 2026.
Aditya shared the announcement on Instagram through a card featuring illustrations of the newborns. Expressing his happiness about becoming a father, he wrote, “My sunshines are here to brighten our lives. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Vira Mahi #TeamGirl.” The couple had announced their pregnancy several months ago and had also shared a series of maternity photographs with their followers.
Before welcoming their daughters, Anushka had openly spoken about her IVF experience on the couple’s YouTube channel. She discussed the physical difficulties she went through during the treatment and also spoke about the support she received from Aditya. Talking about the injections involved in the process, she recalled, “I have taken around 150 injections, minimum. Initially, Adi(tya Seal) used to administer them. I used to get very scared. They were thick and oil-based. When he used to put the needle in, I used to cry in pain. I used to see him walking to me with the injection, and I was like, ‘I just cannot deal with this anymore. I don’t know how I’m going to do this.”
Anushka had earlier revealed that she and Aditya started thinking about having a family in 2023. She credited her sister Akansha Ranjan for encouraging her to speak to a doctor and learn more about conception and fertility.
While discussing what she learnt during the process, Anushka said, “You know, from childhood we are taught that if you get intimate with someone, you’ll get pregnant. And it’s not true. It’s really not true.”
She also spoke about the chances of conceiving naturally and said, “Your chances are only 15% every cycle to have a baby. I was shocked that we are never given this information.”
Aditya and Anushka first met on June 26, 2017, at an event organised by Anushka’s NGO, Beti. Their friendship eventually turned into a relationship. After dating for several years, the couple got married in Mumbai in November 2021. Nearly five years after their wedding, they have now welcomed their twin daughters, Vira and Mahi
