Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has returned to Mumbai after making a striking appearance at Paris Fashion Week. The actress was spotted at the Mumbai airport in the early hours of Wednesday, September 30, where she briefly interacted with the paparazzi before heading towards her car.
Aishwarya was seen smiling and waving at the photographers waiting at the airport. At one point, she appeared to ask them to stop and quickly agreed to pose for pictures. “Aao group mein. Chaliye, yeh sab bandh kijiye,” she told the paparazzi. She also smiled and posed with fans before continuing towards her waiting car.
For her return journey, Aishwarya opted for a casual outfit. She wore a large trench coat with flared jeans and a top. Her brief interaction with the paparazzi and fans caught attention as she made her way out of the airport.
The actress had travelled to Paris for L’Oréal Paris’ annual fashion show, which took place on September 28 at Place Joffre near the Eiffel Tower and École Militaire. Aishwarya walked the runway in a dramatic black couture ensemble and also debuted a striking red hair colour.
Her new hair colour became one of the talking points from the fashion event. The show also featured a surprise appearance by Celine Dion, who closed the event with a performance.
Aishwarya Rai was last seen on screen in Ponniyin Selvan II in 2023. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film released in April 2023 and is a Tamil historical drama adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s celebrated novel.
In the film, Aishwarya played dual roles as Nandini and the mysterious Oomai Rani. The ensemble cast also included Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
Ponniyin Selvan II continued the story of the Chola dynasty, focusing on Arulmozhi Varman and the political conflicts surrounding the royal family. A.R. Rahman composed the music, while Ravi Varman handled the cinematography.
Following her latest appearance at Paris Fashion Week, Aishwarya is now back in Mumbai after another international fashion event where her runway appearance and new look drew attention.
