For the last few months, there has been an ongoing joke being cracked around the cricketer, courtesy Ali Zafar who takes a dig on him in TOTAL SIYAPAA. However, with the cricketer single-handedly winning two back-to-back crucial matches for his country, it is Afridi who is laughing the loudest.

‘A punchline in TOTAL SIYAPAA has Yami terming Afridi as a cry baby and Ali, who is playing a Pakistani in the film, sighing that ‘Afridi se toh hum bhi pareshan hain’.
Well, the flurry of sixes hit by Afridi has only helped Pakistan’s cause in the ongoing tournament. There won’t be a single Pakistani now who would be ‘pareshan’ about the cricketer,’ comments am insider.
No wonder, Ali is taking it light too and reiterates that not much should be read into this in-film joke.

‘When people will watch the film, they will see that in what context has the line being said. I hope they will understand its background. I request all to watch the film first and then give their verdict,’ says Ali.
As for a conversation with Afridi so as to ‘clear’ matters, Ali says, ‘I have not met him or spoken to him, although I am a big fan of his cricket. I hope that if Afridi sees the film, he would deal with the joke in a mature manner.’
