Amrita Rao: JOLLY L.L.B. not a triumph of the underdog

The promos of Subhash Kapoor’s upcoming JOLLY L.L.B., features the two opponents, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani, taking each other on, in the way best known to them. While Arshad plays the rustic small town law pass out, Boman Irani essays the role of the up market, suave lawyer (reportedly on the lines of Mr. Ram Jethmalani). Apparently, it appears that it is Arshad, who despite his crude methods and shortcomings scores over the unbeatable Boman.

When we asked the pretty lass next door, the leading lady of JOLLY L.L.B. Amrita Rao, whether the film is about the triumph of the underdog, she clarified, ”No, I am afraid that is not the case. It is basically sarcasm about the way the law operates in the country. We are trying to show how it is possible to misuse it, but it has been done in a very interesting way. ”
