Anupam Kher has spoken about the recent rumours surrounding Govinda’s personal life, including speculation about his relationship with Komal Rani Swarnkar and his reported marital issues with wife Sunita Ahuja. In a recent interview, Kher said he believes Govinda can handle the situation and urged him not to let his personal life affect his acting career. Kher also praised Govinda’s talent, calling him one of the finest actors he has worked with.
“I am very fond of Govinda. I think he is one of the finest actors that I have worked with. I have done 10-12 films with him. Improvisation, acting, dance – no one can compete with him. But you should not allow your personal life or your habits to overshadow your entire life,” Anupam Kher told Faridoon Shahryar, as quoted by Hindustan Times. “I am no one to pass a judgment on him. He knows his life better, and he can deal with it. I called him once and he said he will call me back. I wanted to tell him, this too shall pass. Everyone’s life has tragedy. I don’t think the problem is that he doesn’t know how to market himself. I think he has gotten bogged down by his surroundings, by his life, but he hasn’t given up yet, so there is hope. I pray that he bounces back and does much more work than he is doing,” the actor added.
Govinda has been in the news over his equation with Komal Rani Swarnkar. The two are set to appear together in their upcoming film Roopa, and their association has led to dating rumours. In August, Sunita Ahuja spoke about Govinda’s relationship with Komal during a conversation with Rakhi Sawant and claimed that the two were planning to get married.
However, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha dismissed the claim. He said there was no question of Govinda entering into a second marriage and reiterated that the actor continues to be married to Sunita Ahuja. The rumours have also brought attention to speculation about the couple’s marriage, although no confirmed details about a divorce have been established in the supplied account.
