The much-anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri, has unveiled its first teaser, exciting fans with Vidya’s return to the franchise after her iconic role in the 2007 original. Directed by Anees Bazmee, who helmed the second installment, the film promises to be another thrilling addition to the series.
The teaser begins with the haunting audio of “Ami Je Tomar,” signaling the return of Vidya Balan’s character, who captivated audiences as the terrifying Manjulika in the first film. In a chilling nod to her previous performance, the teaser shows her lifting a heavy chair, recalling the unforgettable scene from Bhool Bhulaiyaa where she lifted a bed with her bare hands. Kartik Aaryan reprises his role as Rooh Baba, a ghost hunter, who appears to be tasked with capturing Manjulika’s spirit. Triptii Dimri, making her debut in the franchise, plays Kartik’s love interest.

There were rumors about Madhuri Dixit being part of the cast, but the teaser does not show her, leaving fans wondering about her possible role. Aakash Kaushik is credited with the story, screenplay, and dialogue, and from the teaser, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 seems to lean more into horror than its usual horror-comedy tone, perhaps following in the successful footsteps of recent films like Stree 2.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which released in 2022, was a huge box office hit, grossing over ₹185 crore domestically and reviving the Hindi film industry post-pandemic. That film starred Tabu and Kiara Advani alongside Kartik Aaryan.
However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to face stiff competition, as it will clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again on November 1. Singham Again brings together a massive star cast from Shetty’s cop universe, including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar.
The stage is set for an epic box office battle this Diwali season, as both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again aim to captivate audiences.
