Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has started working on his much-awaited film Border 2 in Jhansi, which is the beginning of what looks like an action-ridden sequel to the classic 1997 war drama Border. A photo from day one of the shoot was shared on social media, in which Sunny Deol is seen with co-actor Varun Dhawan, who will play a soldier in the movie. The photograph also had the director of the film, Anurag Singh, and producer Bhushan Kumar, along with co-producers Nidhi Dutt, Shiv Chanana, and Binoy Gandhi.

Film Details and Star Cast
Though the official information regarding Sunny Deol’s role in Border 2 has been kept secret, it’s certain that the film is set to be an enormous patriotic saga. The sequel will boast a starry cast, with Varun Dhawan in a central role as a soldier, along with Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty playing crucial roles. Though Diljit Dosanjh has yet to begin shoot, the actor is set to join the crew shortly.
The movie, labeled as the grandest war drama ever, will be a spectacular tale of bravery and heroism, following the path laid by the original Border. The producers are eager to make the sequel as powerful and spectacular as the first one.
Expected Release Date
Border 2 is likely to be released around Republic Day on January 23, 2026, seeking to tap the patriotic fervour of the holiday. The fan base is hoping for the best from the all-star cast and the epic saga.
