The team is aiming for a Republic Day 2026 release, though an official announcement is yet to be made.
Diljit Dosanjh to Start Filming from June 10
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Diljit Dosanjh is set to begin shooting his portions from June 10, 2025. He will first film scenes with Sunny Deol, followed by a second leg with Varun Dhawan in July. Diljit’s character is described as the emotional core of the story, with a strong backstory and key moments alongside the main cast.
“Diljit has powerful moments with Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, as also Ahan Shetty,” a source revealed. Director Anurag Singh aims to wrap up the film by August 10, 2025. While Sunny is expected to complete his major scenes by the end of June, Diljit and Varun will conclude their parts by August.
Varun Dhawan as Param Vir Chakra Awardee
Earlier reports from Mid-day suggest that Varun Dhawan will portray Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a decorated war hero from the 1971 Indo-Pak war. To prepare for the role, Varun held look tests with designer Sheetal Sharma and interacted with real Indian Army officers, even celebrating Army Day with them.
