The real reason Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu broke up! Dino opens up about the painful split

In a recent interview, actor Dino Morea spoke about his troubled breakup with actress Bipasha Basu, opening up on the emotional rollercoaster that they went through when they parted ways. The two actors met through a mutual friend and began dating in 1996, but their relationship broke up while they were working on their 2002 film Raaz.

The Decision to Break Up

Dino Morea opened up that it was his decision to break up with Bipasha. He confessed that the breakup was a distressful exercise, particularly given that Bipasha found it very hard to adjust to the fact. “When I was doing Raaz, we were breaking up, Bipasha and I, and to be honest, I was breaking up with Bipasha because we had some problems,” he revealed to Pinkvilla. Dino said that it was especially difficult for him to watch Bipasha being angry on the set day after day after their breakup, since they had to keep working together during this emotional phase.

The actor further described that although they tried to mend the cracks in their relationship, they had ended up taking different paths. “Humne already alag alag raasta chun liya tha.”. Regardless of the struggles, he re-asserted that given enough time, all would be healed.

Dino summed it all up by conveying how time worked its healing effect and the two ultimately becoming great friends. “Uss dauran bahut hi mushkil hai but ispe hamesha vishwas rakho ki samay ke saath sab thik ho jata hai (That phase was extremely difficult, but I truly believe that with time, everything falls into place),” he said. With time, the bitterness wore off, and they became close friends. “We became the best of friends after that,” Dino added, reflecting on how the painful phase had turned into a positive relationship.
