After the success of Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi is set to return to the big screen with his next film, Gunmaaster G9. The makers have released the first teaser of the action romance, giving audiences a glimpse of Emraan in a role that combines love, action and music. Directed by Aditya Dutt, the film stars Emraan Hashmi alongside Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana. Newcomer Abhishek Singh will also make his acting debut with the film. Music for Gunmaaster G9 has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
The makers shared the teaser on social media with the caption, “THE WORLD OF G9 BEGINS. 🔥 Romance. Music. Action. #GunmaasterG9 brings it all together in a story that’s ready to take you on a ride. In cinemas 27th November 2026. #G9 #Gunmaaster.”
The teaser presents Emraan Hashmi as a man who is willing to fight for the woman he loves. In a powerful voiceover, his character prays to Lord Shiva and asks that his life should not end before he is able to reach his love. The footage combines action scenes with emotional moments, suggesting that romance will play an important role in the story.
The teaser also brings back Himesh Reshammiya’s familiar musical style. His song Afsanam can be heard in the background, giving the footage an early 2000s feel that many Emraan Hashmi fans may recognise.
Gunmaaster G9 also marks the reunion of director Aditya Dutt, Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya. The three have previously worked together on films including Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Dil Diya Hai. The new film also brings Emraan and Himesh together again after almost two decades.
The film is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut and Sangeeta Ahir and presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. It is a production of SRE Studio LLP.
Gunmaaster G9 is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on November 27, 2026. The teaser is expected to be screened before Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown ups, giving audiences an early look at the film before its theatrical release.
