Shanaya Kapoor is all set to debut in Bollywood with Vikrant Massey in the romantic musical drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which is an adaptation of Ruskin Bond’s award-winning short story The Eyes Have It. The movie will release in theaters on July 11, 2025, and has already created a buzz, with the recently released poster going viral on social media websites.
Teaser Announcement and Suhana Khan’s Support
The producers revealed that the teaser will be released tomorrow, June 5, and the fans are already hyped for a sneak peek into the story of the film. Shanaya’s best friend, Suhana Khan, made her Instagram Stories go live to post the poster and her enthusiasm. She captioned it, “Can’t wait”. Suhana’s backing is evidence of the camaraderie between the new-generation Bollywood actors.
A Musical Tale of Love and Connection
Guided by a new voice in storytelling, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan reportedly delves into the issues of human emotion and vulnerability. Shanaya will play a fierce theatre performer, while Vikrant Massey plays the difficult character of a blind musician. The movie promises a moving journey into empathy, resilience, desire, and inner strength against the backdrop of soulful music and monsoon romance. Box Office Clash Ahead
The movie will conflict with Rajkummar Rao’s gritty gangster drama Maalik at the box office, which will make July 2025 a competitive month for Hindi films. Even in the conflict, the distinct tone and emotional depth of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan might prove useful in carving out its own space.
Shanaya and Suhana’s Future Projects
Apart from her debut, Shanaya Kapoor is all set for Tu Yaa Main, a survival thriller film by Bejoy Nambiar that also co-stars Adarsh Gourav. Directed by Anand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, the movie will release on Valentine’s Day 2026. She is also said to have a double role in Karan Johar’s web series Student of the Year 3, directed by newcomer Reema Maya.
Meanwhile, Suhana Khan will star alongside her father, Shah Rukh Khan, in the action-packed film King, expected to release in 2026. The film will feature Suhana as an assassin-in-training under SRK’s mentorship.
